Disney on Ice
Thursday, April 10 - Sunday, April 13// NRG Stadium
You know we love a Disney on Ice show! These shows will go on all weekend: Thursday 7pm, Friday 10:30am & 7pm, Saturday 11am, 3pm, & 7pm, and Sunday 1pm and 5pm. I love that they offer daytime shows - works so well for littles! Bag policy is bags that exceed 11”x17” are not allowed, and necessary diaper bags and medical bags are permitted + subject to inspection. Tickets and other details here.
Art Car Parade + Events
Thursday, April 10 - Saturday, April 12// Downtown Houston
Art Car has a full weekend of events! On Thursday, check out the free Art Car Parade Sneak Peek at Discovery Green from 6-10pm, with live music, art activities for the kids, food & drinks, and the opportunity to interact with 100+ art cars. On Saturday, start the day with the Line Up Party on Allen Parkway between Taft & Bagby and the H-E-B Kids Creative Zone at 1000 Bagby, both from 11am-2pm. Those are free, as is the Parade at 2pm. You can buy VIP seating options. Afterwards, an After Party will take place at Market Square with entertainment, yard games, and more. Details, schedule, and parade route here.
The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival takes place along The Woodlands Waterway and in Town Green Park. A lively outdoor gallery showcasing authors, music, food, and activities for children, all while exploring art from talented fine artists worldwide. Joyous Eid at Asia Society Texas

Collaborative for Children’s Collab Kid University is an exploratory STEAM-themed day at Rice University! There will be Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics stations, with several unique play-based STEAM experiences per STEAM category, and it seems to be geared primarily for children ages 3 to 6, with all ages welcome. Family Paint by Nature at Armand Bayou Nature Center

A fun event for ages 7 and up with their grown-up(s)! The event starts by taking a short walk to see the subject of the nature painting, then moves indoors to paint. The instructor will give guidance and information about the nature center, and all painting supplies will be provided. At the end of the program, you’ll get to take your beautiful painting home with you! Wear closed-toed shoes, clothes that you don’t mind getting apint on, and bring a water bottle! Details here.
